Using the logger configuration tool, you can add logs and change the log levels to tune the station output seen in the Application
Director. This procedure documents how to add a new log category with name and severity level for a log file.
Prerequisites: Workbench and station should be running.
- To configure the log settings, do one of the following.
- Click .
- Expand and double-click on DebugService.
The
LoggerConfiguration view opens.
- To add a category name, enter the new category name in the
Log Category property.
- Click the severity level drop-down list and select the desired log level in the Add Log Category.
- Click
to add the new log category and click Save.The system adds the new log category to the Configured Log Categories.
The changed logs are stored in your
C:\Users\Niagara\tridium\logging directory and settings become immediately active, affecting station output as seen in the Application Director.
