Time Synchronization

This button in the Bacnet Ws Device Manager is available only on the tool bar and the menu bar. It allows you to send a one-time time synchronization message. When you click it, you are first asked to confirm this action, as it will send the current station time to all controllers on the network. If you choose Yes, you are presented with a dialog, shown in Figure B.8.

As shown above, this dialog has two fields:

Time Synch Type

Select either Local Time (default), or UTC Time.
Time Synch Range

Select either Local Networks Only (default), or All Connected Networks.

When you click OK, a time synchronization request is then broadcast to the network. This is a one-time message. If you wish to schedule periodic time synchronization, you can configure this in the LocalBacnet Device.
