Install Workbench on your PC

1. If it is not already installed, download NiagaraAX 3.5 or later from Niagara Central and unzip it.

2. Run the Setup wizard, making sure you:

   Select the check box next to This instance of Workbench will be used as an installation tool. This option installs the needed distribution files (.dist files) for commissioning various models of remote JACE platforms. The .dist files are located in your Niagara\sw folder in various revision-named subfolders.

3. Right-click the Platform node in the Nav tree, click Commissioning Wizard and follow the wizard. For more information, see a JACE NiagaraAX Install & Startup Guide.

Prepare the JACE

1. If this is a new JACE, provide power and connectivity to the JACE.

2. Attach a category-5 Ethernet between the PC and JACE, and power up the JACE.

3. Start Workbench on the PC and open a platform connection to the JACE.
