  • Updated April 22, 2016
    • In the “Overview” topic, added a note about the JACE-8000-AX feature.
    • In the “Commissioning differences...” topic, added a bullet on converting a JACE-8000 to run AX, after first running the conversion dist in the N4 Workbench switch to the AX-3.8U1 Workbench to run the Commissioning Wizard. Also, added the last bullet explaining that the N4 Workbench cannot configure the system passphrase on a JACE-8000 that is running the AX daemon.
    • In the “Limitations...” topic, added a note stating that for a JACE-8000 converted to run AX you must configure the platform using the AX-3.8U1 Workbench Commissioning Wizard..
    • Added chapter, “ N4-to- AX conversion,” and the procedure “Converting the controller to AX”.
    • In the “ N4-to- AX conversion” topic, (in the 2nd bullet under “Requirements”) slightly changed wording, and added where users can obtain the conversion dist. Also added a cautionary note regarding AX-3.6U4 stations with CryptoService that you attempt to upgrade to AX-3.8U1.
    • In the chapter, “Run the commissioning Wizard,” added a note on using the Commissioning Wizard in the AX-3.8U1 Workbench when performing an N4-to- AX conversion.
    • Removed the serial number modifier that was appended to the factory IP address.
    • In the “Configuring system passphrase” topic under Running the Commissioning Wiz, added a note explaining that the N4 Workbench cannot configure the system passphrase on a JACE-8000 when it is running the AX daemon.
    • In the “Recovering factory defaults” topic, added a note explaining that USB Backup/Restore functionality is not supported for any JACE-8000 running AX. Also that the USB port is not monitored.
    • Added topics, ”Shutdown operations” and Shutting down the controller”.
