To modify a station config.bog file, you open the file offline in Workbench, then resave. See the section Editing the station database (config.bog) file.

To modify a station backup .dist file, you must use a zip editing tool (a .dist file is a zip compressed file) and do several operations on its contents. Typically, one of these includes modifying its config.bog file (after extracting it) using the method above—then placing it back in the backup .dist file. A number of other operations are usually needed as well. See the section Creating a “system image” distribution file from a backup .dist file.
