Profiles provide NiagaraAX developers with the ability to customize an application interface. Profiles are assigned to users (using login credentials) to present a custom set of views that are appropriate for that user. Workbench provides two basic categories of profiles: Kiosk profiles and Web profiles.

Touchscreen profiles (shown below) are a type of Web Profile that characteristically provide enhanced views in a browser running on a touchscreen device.
