(Does not apply to a JACE-8000 series controller) An SRAM-equipped JACE can be configured for “battery-less” operation (the platDataRecovery module must be installed, and JACE licensed with for the “dataRecovery” feature). The PowerMonitorService will continue to monitor for an (optional) backup battery, and upon loss of AC power allows continuous operation on battery power until the Shutdown Delay time is reached—unless you set the “Battery Present” property (of its PlatformServiceContainer) from true (the default) to false. This disables backup battery support and prevents ongoing “battery bad” nuisance alarms—when there is no backup battery. For related details see “PlatformServiceContainer configuration parameters”.
