XL15C Start Stop Loops

Description

There are 8 Start Stop Loops in the XL15C Plant Controller.

Start stop loops are used to turn equipment on and off based on a schedule (TOD) or Demand situation (DLC). Minimum on/off times are observed. The start stop control loops are open loop control driven essentially by the occupancy arbitration effective occupancy. Since the start stop control loops have only a command digital output, it's output value is on or off. The start stop configuration is used to set up the control loop's input and output choices.

Purpose

Configure upto eight start stop loops.

Mode

Off-line or On-line.

Procedure

  1. Expand the XL15C folder in the palette.
  2. Drag the StartStop item onto the wiresheet on the right side of the screen.
  3. Right-click the box and select Config to display the Start/Stop Loop dialog.
  4. Select the desired priority from the Override Priority field.
  5. Enter the following:
  1. Click OK to save the settings or Cancel to revert to the last saved settings.

Fields

Name Definition
Override Priority Defines the occupancy arbitration of the Start/Stop Loop. It can be Network Wins or Last One Wins. This field plays a role when the Loop comes out of Bypass mode to Normal mode.
Min On Time Defines the minimum on time of the Start/Stop loop. It means if the loop changes to on from off state, it should be on at least for this amount of time. The unit is minute. The default value of this field is 0 and range is 0 to 254.
Min Off Time Defines the minimum off time of the Start/Stop loop. It means if the loop changes to off from on state, it should be off at least for this amount of time. The unit is minute. The default value of this field is 0 and range is 0 to 254.
Bypass Time This field defines Start/Stop loop Bypass Time. If the loop is set to Bypass mode, it remains in that mode depending on value set in this field. The unit of is minute. The default value of this field is 0 and range is 0 to 1080.
