Excel 10 VAV II calibration allows flow calibration.
The options available for the flow calibration are maximum, minimum, zero, setpoint and reset.
| Name | Definition |
| Options | |
| Setpoint | Use this option to set the maximum and minimum flow setpoints. |
| Reset | Selecting this option would set the flow calibration values to factory defaults. |
| Maximum | Use this option to perform maximum air flow calibration. The controller seeks stable flow and when it is reached, it allows the user to set the calibration source value. It also displays the current damper position and the time taken to reach the stable flow. |
| Minimum | This allows the user to perform minimum air flow calibration. The controller seeks stable flow and when it is reached, it allows the user to set the calibration source value. The minimum calibration value should be lesser than the maximum value. It also displays the current damper position and time taken to reach the stable flow. |
| Zero | Selecting this option would close the damper. The displayed flow is also null. |
| Status window | The status window displays the messages appropriate to the selection. |
Note:
It is recommended not to have a vast difference between the measured flow and the displayed flow values. Entering a measured flow, which is much different from the displayed flow, would result in invalid flow calculations. The displayed flow might become invalid or 0. If such a situation arises, it is recommended that the calibration values be reset to factory defaults by selecting the Reset option. Zero, Maximum and Minimum calibration need to be redone after doing a reset.
