A device can be any equipment. The authenticator provides
secure communication between an MQTT broker and an MQTT client in
the device.
The network is installed and the abstractMqttDriver palette
is open.
- Open the station and expand .
- Do one of the following:
- Drag the device component from the palette to the network
node in the Nav tree, name the device and click OK.
- Double-click the network node, click New, select the Abstract Mqtt Device from the drop-down
list, click OK, name the device and click OK.
You may use the preconfigured devices present under the Devices folder. They are already configured with an authenticator.
- To configure the device, right-click it in the Nav tree
and click .
- To add an authenticator, drag it from the palette to the
device node under the network.
- To configure the authenticator, right-click it in the Nav
tree and click .
