Replacing the factory-default platform user

You see this dialog only in the initial commissioning of a new Edge device, or possibly at some future point after installing a “clean dist” file.

Perform the following steps:

In the User Name field, type in the desired user name for platform login.
In the Password fields, type in a strong password (it must match in both password fields). Password must use a minimum of 10 characters including: at least one uppercase character, at least one lowercase character, and at least one digit.
In the (optional) Comment field, you can enter an alphanumeric descriptor for this platform admin user, where it is seen in the “Users table” if there are more than one platform user.
Click the Next button. You proceed either to the final commissioning (review changes) step, or if you selected to configure additional platform daemon users, you see your replacement user in the Users table of the Platform Daemon Authentication dialog.
