Inputs
A digital input (DI) is a device that monitors the state of electronic contacts.
- Door sensors are contact devices that monitor the state of a door.
- Exit requests are devices that provide access to leave through a door without having to present a badge.
- ADA (Americans with Disabilities Act) Controls could be used with power assisted doors that open automatically. Typically,
this control is configured similarly to an Exit Request if it is inside the building. If the control is on the outside of
a facility it can be configured to open the door only when the door is unlocked (after a validation or during a scheduled
unlock period).
- Other inputs can be devices that detect such things as glass break or motion sensors.
