Rebooting a host

In some cases, job circumstances require that a remote BACnet client has the ability to reboot the host that is running the station. To do this, you must change the Reinitialize Allowed property of the Bacnet Comm > Server component from false to true. This property is hidden, by default.
Prerequisites: You have admin privileges.
  1. Clear the Hidden config flag on the Reinitialize Allowed property on the Server’s Slot Sheet.
  2. Change the Reinitialize Allowed property from false to true.
  3. Restart the station.
In most cases, this results in a host reboot.
  4. Change Reinitialize Allowed back to false.
  5. Enable the Hidden config flag on the Reinitialize Allowed property on the Server’s Slot Sheet.
