This step lets you create additional platform admin users, if needed. Each platform user must have a unique user name and
strong password. Up to 20 total users are supported. At this step you can also delete users and change existing user passwords.
NOTE: Each platform user account has the same (full) platform admin access—users can change their password, and even create additional
platform admin accounts.
Perform the following steps:
- If you have not already done so, click Next.
The
Platform Daemon Authentication window opens.
- Click New User to open the New User window, as shown above.
- In the User Name field, type in the desired user name for platform login.
- In the Password fields, type in a strong password (it must match in both password fields). Password must use a minimum of 8 characters, using at least one digit (numeral).
- In the (optional) Comment field, enter an alphanumeric descriptor for this platform admin user, where it is seen in the Users table.
- Click OK.
The user is added to the Users table.
- To add another user, repeat the previous steps or else click the Next button for the final step.
After commissioning, you may access this same configuration window via the User Accounts button in the Platform Administration view.
