Installing software modules

This procedure describes downloading and installing required software modules and restarting the station on a PC.
Prerequisites:
  • Internet connectivity
  • An existing user account on the Niagara Community software portal or other access to the software bundle.
NOTE: A user account on the Niagara Community software portal is needed only for non- Forge Connect installations. Forge Connect installations do not use this software portal.
  1. In the web browser, log in to the Niagara Community software portal (https://www.niagara-community.com) and click Software (located upper right).
  2. In the Modules section, scroll down to the bundle titled "NCHSD for N4xUy", where 'x' is your Niagara installation's minor version, and 'y' is the update version. For example, if your station is running Niagara 4.10u6( Niagara 4.10 Update 6), you should look for NCHSD for N410U6.
NOTE: The minor and update versions for your NCHSD module bundle must match the minor and update versions of your Niagara installation, although the major version of the NCHSD module bundle will be a 202x number.
The zip file downloads to your system.
  3. In your Windows user downloads folder (C:\Users\[UserName]\Downloads), right-click on the .zip file and extract the contents to your SysHome installation folder (Niagara/Niagara4 x.x).
NOTE: It is important that you install a Niagara Cloud version that is compatible with the Niagara core version. For more details, check the “Version compatibility” in the “From the cloud to station” chapter.
  4. If the system displays a prompt to Overwrite any existing previous versions?, click OK.
The nCloudDriver software modules and palettes are ready to use.
  5. Restart the station and Workbench
Once the station restart is complete, you can proceed to install and configure the CloudConnector, NiagaraCloudNetwork, and CloudSentienceDevice.
