After clicking , you can observe the discover device job proceed along the “progress bar” at the top of the device manager view. In addition, a log of addresses searched, along with search results, can be viewed by clicking the small “>>” button to the immediate right of the job bar.
As in other drivers, the “Learn Mode” from a discovery splits the Pup Device Manager into two panes—the top “Discovered” pane and the lower “Database” pane (Figure 7).
When you click with one or more discovered devices highlighted in the top pane, the “Add” dialog appears, as shown in Figure 8.
This Add (or Edit) dialog from the Pup Device Manager gives you the opportunity to tweak each device’s display name, enabled state, and/or address. Click the button to add the PupDevices to the station database, or click to close the dialog without any changes.
You can rerun a device discover as many times as needed. If your PUP network is very large, you may wish to add multiple PupDeviceFolders (using button), and run a series of differently configured device discovers (Figure 6) for each one, using the PupDeviceManager view available with each folder.
