The AuthenticationService manages all LDAP authentication requests. The types of authentication a station supports, in this case LDAP, are determined
solely by this service. The most important element in LDAP authentication is the LDAP authentication scheme. A station supports
multiple schemes, with each user account tied to a specific scheme.
