Profiles control how
Workbench appears while using either the Java plugin, Hx, or mobile technology. In this context, it does not refer directly to security
settings or personal preferences.
The type of profile used to log in to the station can result in certain views being inaccessible even if the user has permissions
to access the view.
NOTE: If you include a view-based widget as part of a Px page, then, from a user-profile perspective, it is just a Px page which
is allowed. The user permissions to that included view (component) in the station determine if it displays in the Px page
or not.
The software engineer can create customized
Workbench applications that provide different functionality.
Workbench comes with the following two categories of profiles that have specific profile types available. These profiles are described
in the following sections.
