Workbench fails to start after installing a module

Troubleshooting recommendations for the case where Workbench fails to start after installing one or more modules.

This situation can occur if the module is failing verification. Follow the steps below to resolve the error.

Remove the recently installed module, which is probably causing the problem.
Workbench should be able to start after removing the module, but run it from a Console window so that if the problem persists it will generate more debug details.
In the Workbench Nav Tree, navigate to wherever you have the module stored in the file system (outside of the !modules directory) and right-click on the module and click Views > ModuleView.
