To install and configure any Mobile app for a hand-held device the following prerequisites are required. If any of these is not fulfilled, instead of displaying as {disabled}, the app simply does not appear on the desktop.
The Niagara Framework includes Workbench, which is required to configure mobile apps.
The Apps container should already be located in the mobile module. If your station does not have one, install the Apps container from the mobile palette by dragging it onto the Config node in the Nav tree.
Each of the apps documented in this guide is already licensed by default. To verify the license, check that the propsheet=”true” attribute is in the mobile feature line of your license. For details, see Licensing mobile apps.
The ultimate hand-held user (as defined in the User Service, Permissions) must have at least a “read” level access for the app or the app does not appear in the browser when the user logs in.
