Increasing BOX cache to improve performance
Prerequisites:
- Target platform is running AX-3.8
- Niagara Mobile is installed
Increasing the BOX server cache can significantly improve server performance when computing Type and Contract information
on heavily loaded JACE 6s or JACE 2s.
NOTE: Increasing the server cache consumes more memory.
Perform the following steps:

Increase BOX server cache
Perform the following steps:
- Connect to the station.
- Expand the Services node.
- Double-click BoxService to open the Property Sheet view.
- In the Server Cache Configuration slot, click the select icon (
) to the right of the default setting (Medium) to see options. - Click
High, as shown.
- Click Save.
Increasing the BOX cache improves performance. Screen refresh/redraw is noticeably faster.
