Verifying database services

Once you finish configuring the Supervisor’s database services you should go back and verify that all services are functioning as expected. This procedure also applies when troubleshooting.
Prerequisites: You are working in the web UI and are logged in to the Supervisor station with admin privileges. This procedure should follow a database driver installation, setting the Orion database, and a station reboot.
  1. If needed, click System Setup > Miscellaneous > Configure Database
The Configure Database view opens. The Database Services tab displays the status of the database services.
  2. Verify that all services are showing a status of {ok}. Check any associated error message to help find the cause of any status other than {ok}.
If your MySQL database user name is “root,” you may receive an error. Open the MySQL Workbench, create a new user with a strong password, and update this view with the new User Name and Password.
  3. To save any changed settings, click the Save button at the top of the view.
The Save command opens the Restart Station window.
  4. To initiate a station restart, click the Ok.
  5. Verify settings after the station has restarted.
