Communication between a Supervisor and remote controller is a two-way street. Both entities consist of a platform and station with some functions available to both and other functions exclusive to each.
After configuring a controller, you connect the controller to the Supervisor and join data from the controller’s database with the database maintained in the Supervisor. To speed controller configuration, the Supervisor replicates configuration information, including schedules to each controller.
Once initial configuration is complete, the controller sends alarm and historical data to the Supervisor. The functions that involve discovering and managing devices are available only to a controller station.
