Logging in to the Supervisor station

This procedure connects to the Supervisor station using Workbench.
Prerequisites: The station is running.
  1. To connect to the Supervisor station, do one of the following:
    • Right-click the station and click Connect. The Authentication window opens.
    • Right-click My Host and click Open Station. The Connect window opens, followed by the Authentication window.
    • Click File > Open > Open Station. The Connect window opens, followed by the Authentication window.

  2. On the Connect window, enter the Host IP for the Supervisor station (localhost) and click OK.
  3. Enter the password for the admin user, enable Remember these credentials, and click OK.
    You set up this password when you created the Supervisor station.
  4. Expand the station Config > Services, and double-click the EnterpriseSecurityService.
    This service’s property sheet opens.

  5. Scroll down to Init Required.
    This property defaults to false. Changing it to true causes the software to request confirmation of the Station Display Name and network settings when logging in to the station using the web UI. This best practice provides a more user-friendly name for the station.
