Installing the replacement controller
If an option card (module) was damaged when the controller failed, you may need to purchase a new option card. If possible,
try to install the option card from the previous controller into the new controller using the same slot as on the old controller.
- Install the new controller in the cabinet and plug in the connectors for on-board I/O, remote modules, and your PC.
- Apply power and connect the backup batteries.
- Set up your PC network adaptor to an IP address that is compatible with the controller’s default IP address: 192.168.1.120.
- Open the new controller platform.
- Continue with the configuration steps in this chapter.
