Creating a new station in a controller
If the controller you are using already has a station on it, you can bypass this procedure. If your controller is brand new
and contains no station, this procedure uses
Prerequisites: You successfully commissioned the controller. There is no station in the controller.
- Make a platform connection to the controller.
- Right-click the controller’s Platform node in the Nav tree and click .By default, this view opens to the
cleanDistfolder.
The .dist (distribution) files that are available in this folder return the controller to near factory defaults. Do not use these files unless you need to start completely from scratch.
If a distribution file is not available, the Status message reports the error. Refer to Troubleshooting.
- Click Choose Directory, navigate to the
~sw\restorefolder and click OK. - Select the system .dist file and click Install.The Distribution File Installer wizard opens.
- Click Finish to follow the wizard.The wizard installs the distribution file, and reboots the controller.
- When prompted, click Close and wait for the controller to reboot.This could take a few minutes.
