Adding a reader

This procedure adds an existing reader to the station database.
Prerequisites: You are using the web UI. The reader has been installed next to the door.
Perform the following steps:
  1. Navigate to Controller Setup > Remote Devices > Remote Modules > Remote Module Setup.
  2. Double-click the module to which the door and its reader are connected.
    The Remote Reader Module tab opens.
  3. To associate the reader with the door, set Enabled to true and click the Doors tab.
    The Doors tab opens.
  4. Click Manage Devices (Image), and, select Add, and click Ok.
  5. Select the reader, click Ok, name the reader and click Ok.
    The software creates the reader.
  6. Click the reader hyperlink, followed by clicking the Reader tab.
    The Reader view opens.

  7. After configuring reader properties, configure the Activity Alert Exts and Output Configuration tabs, then click Save.
