node

  1. A connection point between the system and a real or virtual device. Devices become a node when they register with the system, providing a name and connection information. An ORD provides access to the device.

  2. A position in a Nav tree hierarchy.

  3. The primary organizational unit of a Niagara Analytics Framework data model tree. Like a folder, a node is a container that holds points or other containers. The nodes of the data model provide the structural framework for the model.
